SmallGroups.com is currently featuring my article, “The Right Person to Lead a Small Group,” on their homepage. Click here to read it. This article explains why people resist a call to leadership because of questions about competency and commitment and how to overcome those obstacles. The article first appeared on this blog on May 12.

By the way, if you are not yet a member or regular user of SmallGroups.com, I highly recommend this site. (I guess this is the place where I disclose, if you did not already know, that I founded this ministry. It’s come a long way since I put a few articles on the web from my basement!) Michael Mack has led Small Group Leadership full-time since 2012, but has been involved in small group ministry for more than 25 years. He lives in Pewee Valley, Kentucky (just outside Louisville), with his wife Heidi. Their family small group, which includes their four young adult children, has much potential (and much anticipation) for future growth and multiplication. Michael enjoys mountain and road biking with a group of great friends who participate together in various charity rides. See the "About Michael Mack" page under About Us for more about him.
